Party downstairs I don’t know why but every ones crying I am up stairs with my cousins Everyone is wearing black And grandma’s sleeping in a basket
Now I am 8 years older and 8 years wiser And I understand that, that party wasn’t a party Black was the right color to wear I wish I would have said goodbye To my peaceful, sweet, dead grandma Opening day
First memories, Opening day. I had my Reds hat, And my Reds shirt. My baseball glove on, And my Reds baseball in hand.
We went to the parade, And had a so much fun. My dad, my mom, and I, All together, It was a great day. By: Alex Geiger
Coming To America
Walking up the metal stairs, To see the people and a new world, I was massively stunned I almost hurled, By everything I saw and heard, I didn't know how to say a word, When I landed I saw a free country, And it was a new life to be.

Memory Poem I was at the park with my friend, We were playing hide and seek, I was hiding behind bushes on a wall, I lost my balance and fell.
My friend’s mom took me to a hospital. I met my dad there. He had to hold me upside-down for the x-rays, Because I couldn’t bend my arm in the right way.
I got a green cast, It was my favorite color, It still is. I got it off in a few weeks. My skin was really soft then.
I then found out that I really broke my elbow, I hit the wrist and elbow at the same time. I liked the cast though. People would do stuff for me. -Sam Garner
